SUSTAINABILITY
We at Yogalaxy are Yogi*nis through and through and live and work according to Patanjali's eight-limb yoga path. Our vision is to create a better world for present and future generations by offering products that are good for the earth. Therefore, the topic of sustainability is particularly important to us. We pay thorough attention to every step, from manufacturing to packaging to transportation.
Our latest product development, the patented Yogalaxy surfboard style yoga mat, was launched in January 2023. The base material consists of sustainable and renewable natural rubber.
We mainly use recycled PET bottles for the surfaces of our yoga mats. A yoga mat pulls about 8 plastic bottles out of our oceans, making it a step towards the circular economy. The recycled PET material used is not only good for the environment, but also offers amazing support, supreme absorption and a soft, anti-microbial finish.
Our oval yoga mats are free from latex, silicone, toxic glue and phthalates. The top and bottom surfaces are only bonded together with pressure and heat. We completely avoid the use of toxic chemicals or non-degradable adhesives. In addition, the leftovers resulting from production can be processed immediately. All materials used comply with REACH standards and are SGS, REACH, MSDS and RoHS tested.
Our Aerial Yoga hammocks have passed the OEKO-TEX certificate. However, we do not advertise it because this certification accounts for more than 30% of the manufacturing costs. However, the purpose of our work is to produce as fairly and directly as possible and to place as much of the economic value in the hands of the value chain.
We pay attention to production under fair and social conditions and ensure that the workers work under fair and social conditions through inspections, zoom calls and on-site visits.
We make our production and transport routes as climate-neutral as possible and are constantly working to make the entire value chain more sustainable and plastic-free. Our shipping is CO₂-neutral with DHL and in grass fiber boxes that do not use fresh pulp.
All our products are free from animal materials and are therefore suitable for vegans.
